BRADEN, Addison B. - Montgomery InGenWeb Project

The remains of Addison B. Braden for many years a well known citizen of Lafayette, arrived from Frankfort this morning and were taken direct to Springvale cemetery for burial.  Mr. Braden died Friday night at the home of his nephew, Braden Clark. He had been ill for weeks and the immediate cause of death was heart trouble.  He was born at Jefferson, Clinton County Aug 14, 1844 and was employed in the Cohee store at Frankfort before coming to Lafayette.  Mr. Braden was for many years engaged in the grocery business at 9th and Main streets and he had a wide acquaintance throughout Tippecanoe county.  He was a man of sterling character and an excellent citizen.  Mr. Braden went to Frankfort about a month ago.  He leaves the following sisters and brothers: Mrs. John G. Clark and Mrs. WW Garrott of Frankfort; Mrs. HGP Jennings of this city and HS Braden of Crawfordsville.  The latter is lying at the point of death from the effects of a tumor.   ~~~Transcribed and Typed by kbz
