William Russell Bruner, 80, a retired carpenter died at 5:30 a.m. today in Home Hospital at Lafayette. Mr. Bruner's home was at 509 Louise Ave but he had been a resident of the Indiana Soldiers Home at Lafayette about two years.

Mr. Bruner was a veteran of World War I. He attended Wallace and Hillsboro schools.  He was a member of First Christian Church and WWI Barracks.  

A native of Wallace he was born Nov 18, 1896, a son of Billy and Leoda Fine Bruner. He was married to Mary Glaydes Taylor who died in 1965.  Surviving are a son, Parvin of Crawfordsville; a daughter, Mrs. Arnold (Catherine) Denton of Moorestown NJ and three grandchildren.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in Powers Funeral Home with Rev. John Glasser officiating. Burial will be in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Saturday. – kbz
