The funeral of W. A. Brown occurred at the residence and was conducted by Rev. McLain. Interment was at Jackson Cemetery.

New Ross, July 4—At his residence two miles south of New Ross, William A. Brown dropped dead from heart disease, at about 9 p.m., July 3, while preparing to retire. He had just returned from Roachdale and ate a hearty supper but a short time before his death. He was in good health prior to the accident. Mr. Brown was one of the pioneers of Clark Township, having lived for more than sixty years on the farm where he died. His age was 72 years, 5 months, and 14 days.
