Greencastle, Oct 17 – Henry Brennan, 33 years old, cutter in the employ of Sandy & McCauley, merchant tailors, was accidentally shot while at the home of Peter Stoner, ex-auditor of Putnam County near this city yesterday, dying last evening. Brennan and Stoner were fast friends and Brennan went to the Stoner home Saturday night to spend Sunday. Yesterday morning, while Stoner was busy with his chores, Brennan started to shoot some pigeons, using a new type of hammerless gun. The shot took effect in his abdomen and lungs. Brennan, after he was shot, walked around the house and sat down on the porch to await surgical aid. He lived to give an account of the shooting and wholly to exonerate Stoner. The body was taken in charge by the IORM for burial at Crawfordsville. Brennan, was a man of good standing, a Catholic in religious belief and unmarried.
