SAMUEL FRAZER BRYAN

Samuel Frazer Bryan, 73, Port Deposit, Md., died Monday in
Calvert Manor Healthcare Center, Rising Sun, Md. Mr. Bryan was a
maintenance mechanic for E.I. DuPont, Glasgow, Del., for 16
years. His memberships included Tome Memorial United Methodist
Church, Port Deposit; National Rifle Association; Fleet Reserve
Association and Rising Sun American Legion Post 194. He served in
the Navy PNC-Chief Personnel Man from 1948-67 and was director of
NRMC, Navy, Bainbridge, Md., for 20 years. He was born July 9,
1930, at Ladoga, to Vern and Hazel Frazer Bryan. He was married
to Joan Hoeppner for 36 years. She survives. Also surviving are
three sons, Bill and Jim Bryan, both of Havre de Grace, Md., and
Richard McMahon, Chestertown, Md.; a daughter, Darlene Scarlato,
Casa Grande, Ariz.; two brothers, Dave Bryan, Crawfordsville, and
Ben Bryan, Ladoga; and six grandchildren. Funeral services were
conducted Thursday in Lee A. Patterson & Son Funeral Home,
P.A., Perryville, Md., with the Rev. Asher F. Tunik, pastor of
Tome Memorial United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial was in
West Nottingham Cemetery, Colora, Md.
