Bruce - Leslie Andrew - Montgomery InGenWeb Project

Leslie Andrew Bruce, 65, Linnsburg, died Thursday night at the West 10th Street Veterans Hospital in Indianapolis. He had been in failing health for the past 4 years. Mr. Bruce was the manager of the Crawfordsville & New Richmond Farm bureau elevators. He had been employed with Farm Bureau 25 years prior to his retirement in January of this year. He was a veteran of WWI and had been a member of the WWI Barracks at Crawfordsville. Born March 30, 1899 in Virginia Mr. Bruce was the son of Steven and Dora Smith Bruce. He married Aug 17, 1921 Fredericka Bappert in Indianapolis. Surviving are the widow, two sons, Ernest of Crawfordsville and Donald of Plainfield a granddaughter of Crawfordsville; a sister, Mrs. Elsie Roberts of Indianapolis; two brothesr, James C. Bruce of rural Crawfordsville and Arthur s. bruce of New Ross. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Hunt & Son Funeral Home. Rev John Servies will officiate.
