Sarah Jane BARR Brown, daughter of John W. and Mary E. Barr was born Aug 17, 1864 at Waveland, Indiana and departed this life on Feb 10, 1944 at the home of her daughter, Mrs. DN Stanfield at Annapolis, Illinios. She was united in marriage to Franklin Brown in 1888 and to this union were born two children, namely: Mrs. Edith STANFIELD of Annapolis, Ill and Mr. Elvin Brown of Waveland. She was a member of the Waveland Methodist Church and spent her entire life in this community. She leaves to mourn her loss the above mentioned children, 3 stepdaughters, Mrs. James LAYNE of Brazil, Indiana; Mrs. Ira SHARP and Mrs. Etta CAMPBELL of Waveland, a brother, Mr. Charles D. BARR of Waveland and a sister, Mrs. Charles HICKMAN of Ruskin, Florida; 5 grandchildren, Marguerite Louise Miller; Lois Stanfield Brown; Harold Campbell; Mildred McCloud and Carl Lee Brown; also 5 greats and a host of relatives and friends. The funeral was conducted from the Machledt Funeral Home Saturday afternoon by Rev. CN McBrayer assisted by the Rev. Claude McCallister - kbz
