Samuel E. Brown, 89, formerly of 3106 Kossuth street, died Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. in Scott nursing home where he had been a patient the past year. Born in Montgomery county, he had been a resident of Lafayette 50 years, retiring in 1933 as an engineer for the Lafayette Boxboard and Paper company. He was married in 1894 to Amanda Ross who survives with five children: Carl R., William E., and Roy E., all of Lafayette, Mrs. Ben Petty of West Lafayette, and Mrs. Carl Gable of Chicago.
