Indianapolis - Swan BROOKSHIRE, 71, a druggist in Indianapolis 40 years, died Friday night in the home of his brother, Harry Brookshire of New Augusta following an illness of several years. Mr. Brookshire was president of the Brookshire Pharmacy 217 N. Pa St and had owned other drug stores in Indianapolis and Beech Grove. He was born in Ladoga and lived in KS several years where he received his education. He came to Indianpolis in 1895. He had lived with his brother in New Augusta since February when his wife, Mrs. Nora Brookshire died. He was a member of Pentalpha Lodge F & AM and Scottish Rite. Funeral services were held in Flanner & Buchanan Mortuary at 11 o'clock Monday monring Pentalpha Lodge in charge; burial in Crown Hill cemetery. Survivors besides the brother are two sisters, Mrs. Evoril Grute and Mrs. Leona DuBois, both of Coral Gables, Fl.
