Ladoga Jan 20 - Word has been received here of the death of Allen BROOKSHIRE in the city hospital at Indianapolis. Mr. Brookshire was a resident of Brownsburg. He contracted pneumonia and was taken for treatment to the city. The death occurred Wendesday The body will be brought to this place arriving Saturday at 11 and will be taken to the local cemetery for interment. A short service will be held at the grave side. Allen Brookshire was the second son of Drake Brookshire and was nearly 70. He was born and reared in this community but of late years has lived in Lebanon and other places where he worked at his trade of meat cutter. Joel and Drake Brookshire of PUtnam County, Lee Brookshire of this place and E V Brookshire of Washington, a former congressman are the surviving brothers. A sister, Mrs. Lizzie Tobin, and two brothers, Swan and Alexander preceded him in death. Of his immediate family, he is survived by the wife, two sons and one daughter all residents of Indianapolis. Back in the days of his residence in this cummunity, Al was known as a genial, whole souled man, neighborly and accomodating to a fault.

Ladoga, Jan 21 (1916) -- Friends here have received news of the death Wednesday at the city hospital, Indianapolis, of Allen Brookshire of Brownsburg. The cause of death was pneumonia which Mr. Brookshire contracted some time ago and it was for treatment of this ailment that he was taken to the Indianapolis hospital. He was nearly 70 years of age. The deceased was born and reared in this community, being the son of the late Drake Brookshire, and had lived here most of his life. Of late years, however, he had lived in Lebanon, wher ehe was a meat cutter. Four brothers are still living. They are: Joel and Drake Brookshire of Putnam County; Lee of this place and E.V. Brookshire of Waashington. The wife, two sons and one daughter all of whom live in Indiana also survive. Mr. Brookshire was known as a good and kind man while he lived in this community and he has numerous friends here who will mourn his death. The body is to arrive here Saturday at 11 and will be interred in the local cemetery. A short service will be held at the grave side.
