Little Harry, son of B. Franklin was left fatherless at age 4 he was taken into her home and reared as an own child. Early in life she was united with the Church of Christ at North Salem, later transferring her membership to Crawfordsville where it was retained at time of death. She was a faithful attendant at her church as long as health permitted; she was warmly attached to the faith, doctrine and practices of the Church of Christ. Almost 3 years ago she came to Waveland to make her home with Mrs. Clark. Her devoted daughter was patient and uncomplaining; did everything for her pleasure and comfort during her declining years. Mrs. Britton was held in high esteem for her many noble traits of character and loyalty to her friends. She was quiet and unassuming, but firm in her adherence to right principles. Her heart was full of love and Christian kindness. She bore life's burdens with patience and fortitude characteristic of a believer in God. She was waiting to hear the summs, "Come ye blessed of my father." She has gone to that city where there are no pangs nor partings, no griefs nor tears. Funeral services were held at the home at 11 on Wednesday morning. Burial at Oak Hill Cemetery, Crawfordsville. - kbz
