Hugh P. Brennan, 67, 906 W. Pike St., retired highway employe, died at 4:40 a.m. Sunday at Lane House Nursing Home. He had been in failing health for three months. He was a life resident of Crawfordsville and was gradumerly associated with the Pearlman Grocery Co. of Crawfordsville and Lafayette. Before his retirement in 1970 he had been employed for eight years by the State Highway Department. He was a member of St. Bernard's Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus and the Fraternal Order of Eagles. He was born at Riverton, Ill., on Feb. 18, 1905, a son of James A. and Nora Kelly Brennan. He is survived by two brothers James of Portsmouth, Va., and William of Crawfordsville; two nephews, Dr. James Brennan of Bridgewater, Mass., and John William Brennan of Wheaton, Ill., and an aunt, Miss Winifred Kelly. Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday in St. Bernard's Church, where mass will be celebrated by Rev. Monsignor Henry F. Ward. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call after 2 p.m. Tuesday at Hunt and Son Funeral Home, where the Rosary will be said at 8:15 p.m. Tuesday.--waw
