Lee Roy Breeden passed away at 6 p.m. Tuesday evening at his home near De Soto. He was born in New Market, Indiana, April 2, 1859. His family moved to Illinois when he was a small boy, making their new home where old Brownsville was. He was a very prosperous and prominent farmer, dealing in grains and stock until his health failed him in the last few years. The deceased leaves to mourn his loss a wife, Mrs. Eva Breeden, children, Mrs. Charley West of Centralia, Rhoda Davis of Murphysboro, Joe Breeden, Mrs. John Charles of Carbondale, Mrs. Frank Leek of Elkville, Ross and Leo at home; eight grandchildren; two sisters, being Mrs. Ret Franza and Mrs. Rose Cox of Murphysboro. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 2:30 o'clock at Zion church, conducted by the Masonic lodge.
