Alvin H. Breaks, 27, a gifted musician and well known in musical circles died Sunday morning in an Indianapolis hospital following a short illness. Son of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Breaks, RFD 6, Crawfordsville, Mr. Breaks was graduated from Crawfordsville HS in 1937 and attended Wabash College for two years. He was later graduated from Hardin-Simmons College, Abilene, Texas. The deceased was employed by radio station WKY in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, for two years. He was a member of the National Federation of Musicians. Surviving in addition to the parents are a grandmother Mrs. Elsie Hughes, 1013 W. Main St; two aunts, Mrs. Nora Patton, Flagstaff, AZ and Mrs. Etta Groendyke Crawfordsville and several cousins. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon from the parents' residence in charge of Rev. Guy Tremaine of the Waynetown Methodist Church assited by Rev. Raymond Otto of the Wingate Methodist Church. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery here. Friends may pay their respects at the home of the parents after Monday afternoon. -- typed by kbz
