Mrs. Lola B. Bray, 85, of Oak Hill Road, a resident of the Crawfordsville area the last eight years and formerly of Illinois and Kentucky, died at 5:55 p.m. Saturday in Culver Hospital. She had been ill the past year and in the hospital the last five days. She was born Dec. 26, 1885 in Tompkinsville, Ky., a daughter of Powhatton and Mary Jackson Martin. She was educated in Kentucky. Her first marriage was in 1903 with F. D. Thomas. She married Jettie Bray on Feb. 9, 1934. He survives. Mrs. Bray was a member of the Baptist Church at Sand Lake, Ky. She lived in Illinois 11 years prior to moving to Crawfordsville. Surviving besides her husband are three sons, Jack Thomas of Logansport, Kenneth Thomas of Crawfordsville and William Thomas of Lafayette; four daughters, Mrs. Chester (Murrl) Booi of Gilman, Ill., Mrs. Ted (Claris) Dowell and Mrs. Don (Clora) Ebert of Onarga, Ill., and Mrs. Dee (Earline) Greenup of Lafayette, and 26 grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren. Two daughters, a brother and two sisters are deceased. Funeral rites will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Helms Funeral Home at Linden, with Rev. Arthur Schenck officiating and burial in New Richmond Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home.--waw
