Mrs. Ercie Powell Bratton, 87, of 112 S. Grant Ave., died at 5:25 a.m. today in Culver Hospital. She was a member of the First Christian Church and was educated in the Boone County schools. She was born in Boone County on Oct. 3, 1890, a daughter of John and Margaret Fulwider Dinsmore. She was first married to Arthur S. Powell. She then married John S. Bratton. Surviving are a son, Ernest Powell of Crawfordsville; a daughter, Mrs. Edwin (Lenora) Mathews of Smartsburg; a stepson, Russell Bratton of Kokomo, 11 grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by both husbands, a son and two sisters. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Powers Funeral Home at Crawfordsville with burial in Jamestown Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Tuesday.--waw
