Allie J. Brady, 65, section foreman for the Monon RR died early Friday morning at Culver Hospital. He became ill in April just a few days before his scheduled retirement. Brady had been with the Monon for 42 years. He was a member of the Brotherhood of Maintenance of Way employees. He was also a member of the Fremont Street Baptist Church. A son of Charles & Eliza Burk Brady, he was born in Tompkinsville, KY April 9, 1902. Later in life he moved to Crawfordsville where he married Catherine P. Haase August 9, 1928. With the exception of five years in Monon, Ind, their entire married life was spent in this city. Surviving are the widow; two sons, Eddie James of Temple City, Calif and Joseph Earl of Crawfordsville; two daughters, Mrs. Paul Johnson of Crawfordsville and Mrs. Wayne Boller of near Roachdale; two brothers, Clyde and Estel, both of Crawfordsville; two sisters, Mrs. Oma Jackson and Mrs. Berry Jackson, both of Crawfordsville and 15 grandchildren. A brother, Arthur, preceded him in death. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the Fremont Street Baptist Church with Rev. Robert Shotts, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Crawfordsville Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call at 2 p.m. Sunday at Bright Funeral Home.
