Phyllis B. Boots, 61 of Rt 1, Darlington died at 1:10 a.m. Sunday at St. Elizabeth Hospital at Lafayette. Mrs. Boots was a homemaker and formerly worked for The Furniture Store and The Drugstore both at Colfax. She was an active member of the Colfax Christian Church where she taught Sunday School for 47 years. She was a member of the church’s Ladies Auxiliary and a former member of the Dorcas Society. He other memberships included the Travel-Study Club International and the Sugar Creek Home Economics Extension of Montgomery County. She was a 1946 graduate of Colfax HS. She was born Nov 22, 1928 at Colfax to Addison and Mary Parks Bradshaw. She married Roberts Boots Sept 10, 1948 at Colfax. He survives. Also surviving are two daughters: Joanna Kuchler of Rt. 1, Darlington and Mrs. Lawrence (Robbie) Land of Dayton, Ind; four sisters, Martha Sinclair of Lebanon, Ruth Pierson of Mulberry, Elizabeth Clouser of Darlington and Sarabelle Parfitt of Pittsburgh, Pa; three brothers, William Bradshaw of Maynardville, Tenn; Robert Bradshaw of Indianapolis and Edwin Bradshaw of Darlington and four grandchildren. She was preceded in death by four brothers and three sisters. Services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Colfax Christian Church with Rev. Ronald E. Walter officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery at Darlington. Friends may call 4-8 p.m. today at the Eller-Weston Funeral Home at Colfax, and one hour prior to services at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to the Heart Fund or the youth of Colfax Christian Church. – kbz
