A peculiar circumstance, having more or less connection with the case of Stout, who was hanged at Rockville, Parke County recently, occurred before the hanging at his home at Darlington, Montgomery County. Robert Dunbar, a brother of Stout’s victim, has a married daughter, Mrs. Kate Boots, who had been brooding of late over family troubles, and just as her father was boarding the train at Darlington to go to Rockville to witness the execution of his brother’s murderer, a messenger tapped him on the shoulder and told him that the lady had committed suicide by hanging herself in a barn which was found, on investigation to be the case. - kz
