Darlington, Oct 25 – Aniel J. Booher, 83, a retired businessman died at his home on West Main Street yesterday following an illness of 10 days. Born in the Lutheran Church community east of Darlington, he married Laura Broadlick Feb 12, 1888 at Kokomo. He went into the hardware business with her father more than 60 years ago and upon the latter’s death, operated the firm himself. When he retired several years ago Mr. Booher was the oldest businessman in years of service the community had ever had. Survivors include the widow, Mrs. Laura Booher; two sons, Harry Booher, Columbus and Lynn Booher, Frankfort; two daughters, Mrs. Beryl Jenkins; Anderson and Mrs. Jessie DeLong at home; and a sister, Mrs. Goldie Inskeep, Chicago.

Aniel Booher, 83, father of Harry Booher, local bakery owner died Tuesday morning at 12:30 o’clock at his home in Darlington. He suffered a heart attack a week ago. Mr. Booher was a retired hardware dealer having been in business for 60 years. Mr. Booher is survived by his widow, two sons, two daughters, a sister, five grandchildren and three great grandchildren. - kbz
