Bond - George

George Bond died in Urbana at 6:30 Wednesday morning after a 16 month illness from a complication of diseases. He had been confined to his room most of that time and his suffering was very great all the time. Mr. Bond was born in Baltimore County MD on July 14, 1834. He moved to Ohio when a young man and at Logan on Aug 31, 1854 he married Miss Mary Wright. To this union two daughters were born. They are Mrs. George W. Markley and Mrs. Lou Glover of Urbana. Mrs. Bond died Aug 25, 1885 and since that time the decedent had resided with Mr. Markley his son-in-law at 204 S Race Street. The funeral services were held Friday morning at 10 o’clock at the First Methodist Episcopal church in Crawfordsville, Ind the former home of the family and the burial was by the side of his wife in Oak Hill Cemetery. Mr. Bond was a member of the Crawfordsville Methodist Episcopal Church. - kbz
