VEEDERSBURG --- Pau1 A. Boatman, 57-year-old State Representative, died at 7 a.m. Sunday at Clermont two hours after a heart attack. He owned and operated the De Luxe Drive In Theatre and was a resident of Veedersburg all of his life. Born Sept. 17, 1900, in Veedersburg, he was the son of Samuel and Abbigal Grover Boatman. He was married to Margurite Smail, Dec. 29, 1920. A graduate of Veedersburg schools, Mr. Boatman was active in Republican politics. He was a member of First Christian Church and the Masonic Lodge at Veedersburg. Survivors include the widow; a daughter, Mrs. Jacqueline Lacy of Indianapolis; a brother, Monte Boatman of Covington and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his mother, Mrs. Abbie McElwee, who died Tuesday. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the J. Fred Parham Funeral Home. Rev. George Mitchell will officiate. Burial will be in Osborne Prairie Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home.
