Veedersburg — Mrs. Marguerite Boatman of Veedersburg died at 11 p.m. Sunday, the day before her 61st birthday anniversary. She died at the Rudisill Nursing Home, Crawfordsville, where she had been a patient since March. She had been seriously ill during the past year. Mrs. Boatman was born near Wallace Nov. 13, 1900, the daughter of Joseph and Emma Brown Kellar. She moved to Veedersburg as a child and attended Veedersburg schools, graduating from Veedersburg High School. She was married to Paul A. Boatman Dec. 29, 1920. He died July 6, 1958. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Jacquelyn Lacey of Indianapolis; three grandchildren, and her mother, Mrs. Emma Riffle of Watsonville, Calif. Mrs. Boatman was a member of the First Christian Church of Veedersburg and had served as town clerk-treasurer for several years. Her husband was a former state representative. Friends may call at the Fishero Funeral Home in Veedersburg after 2 p.m. EST Tuesday. Funeral services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the funeral home, Rev. Ralph Sell officiating. Burial will be in Osborn Prairie Cemetery.
