Mrs. Vera M. Bowman, 80, and mother of Mr. Bowman who was formerly connected with CCC work in this community passed away December 30th at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Elsie Keck in Morgantown. Mrs. Bowman lived most of her life in the vicinity of Colfax. Surviving are three daughters and three sons; 17 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren, one sister and two brothers. Funeral services were held in the Williams' mortuary in Colfax on Friday afternoon and burial was near Frankfort.
Note: I think this gal is her: buried Bunnell Cemetery, Frankfort, Clinton County, Indiana -- Sarah M. born: June 14, 1862 Clinton County died: December 30, 1942. Married Willard P. Bowman Dec 15, 1881 Clinton County. Willard Perry Bowman born: June 14, 1858 Clinton County died May 14, 1911 Frankfort, Clinton County. Please let me know if anyone knows for sure. Seems a long way away to have been in the Waveland paper but if he had been at the CCC camp at the Shades, it would make sense; however it bothers me that he died in 1911 so he really can't be that one as this would have been in the 1930s and he'd be dead.
