COLFAX -- Lawrence A. Bowman, 67, of Rt. 6, Frankfort, died at 2:43 p.m. Sunday in Clinton County Hospital while visiting a friend. Mr. Bowman, a farmer, was a member of Colfax Christian Church, past master of Plumb Masonic Lodge 472, member of the Indianapolis Valley of Scottish Rite and past patron of Colfax Order of Eastern Star Chapter 201. Born April 18, 1909, at Clinton (County?) , he was a son of George C. and Edna M. Cohee Bowman. He was married to Florence M. Cornett on June 13, 1931. She survives. Also surviving are two sons, George David of Greenwood and Pastor Michael N. of Rt. 1, Darlington; a daughter, Mrs. Tom (Marilyn) Peterman of Crawfordsville; a sister, Mrs. Ina Blacker of Colfax; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; nieces; and nephews. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Colfax Christian Church with Pastor Michael Bowman and the Rev. James Saunders officiating. Burial will be in Plainview Cemetery. Friends may call at Williams Funeral Home 2-9 p.m. Tuesday. Masonic rites will be conducted at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday. The body will lie in state in the church one hour prior to services.--waw
