ELVIRA BOWERS Dies, Aged 80 Death Comes at Home of Sister; Funeral to Be Held Wednesday Following an illness of nine years Mrs. Elvira Bowers, 80, a resident of Frankfort for seven years, died Sunday night at 10:30 o'clock at the home of her sister, Mrs. Belle Phillips, 326 South Main St. Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock from the Congregational Christian church, at Darlington, with Rev. W. H. Zenner officiating. Interment will be in the Odd Fellow cemetery, near Darlington. The deceased woman was a native of Montgomery county where she was born May 4, 1852, the daughter of Silas and Elvira Hiatt. She was united in marriage to Jesse Bowers, October 19, 1879. At the age of 14 years she united with the Congregational Christian church, at Darlington. - kbz
