H. H Boudinot, a leading citizen of Terre Haute, and a gentleman known to hundreds of the citizens of Crawfordsville, died Tuesday at his home after an extended illness. From a lengthy biographical sketch in the Terre Haute Express we clip the following: H. H. Boudinot was born in Terre Haute, February 29, 1840, and was educated in the city schools and Wabash college, and graduated in 1861. He studied law and became a Member of the law and insurance firm of Hosford, Boudinot & Brown. "In 1882 Mr. Boudiuot and Jame D. Bigelow formed a partnership in the law and insurance business, which was terminated in 1884, when Mr. Boudinot was chosen compact manager for the insurance companies. He served as chairman for the Republican county committee some years ago and was always an interested and ardent Republican. He was a member of Terre Haute lodge No. 19, F. and A. M.; was a Knight Templar, of which he was eminent commander the year the commandery went to San Francisco, and was a member of the thirty-second degree of Scottish Rite and also of the Shriners. He was also an Elk. "Mr. Boudinot was married in July, 1864, to Miss Fannie A. Fry. of Crawfordsville. Two children were born to them, Cora, who died in 1881, and Frank, who died in 1890. - transcribed by Kim H
