Wallace L. Boots, 73, of 801 S. John St died at his home at 6:05 p.m. Tuesday. He was born April 10, 1891 in Montgomery County near Colfax to Samuel and Ellen Logan Boots. He was married to Merl V. Buskirk Dec 3, 1907. Mr. Boots was a member of the Church of the Brethren and the Masonic Lodge at Darlington. A graduate of Bowers High School, he was a farmer and carpenter most of his life. He was a member of Carpenters Local No 1355. He was also a past master of the Clarks Hill Masonic Lodge. He is survived by his wife, two sons, Samuel of Rt 7, Crawfordville and Lawrence of New Market; a daughter, Mrs. Lois M. Carroll of Noblesville; nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a grandson, James Boots, May 10, 1964. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at the Noble Reeves Funeral Home in New Market. Rev. Calvin Miller will officiate. Burial will be in Bowers Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 6 p.m. Wednesday - kbz
