Darlington, Jan 18 -- The funeral of JC BOOHER, 72, whose death occurred last night at his home two and one half miles east of this place will be held Saturday morning at 11 at the Lutheran church, Rev. Stroup, pastor will officiate. Burial in the cemetery near the church. Mr. Booher's death occurred last night at 9 o'clock of hardening of the arteries with which he had been afflicted a number of years. His demise was on the farm adjoining the one on which he was born in 1843. He was one of the substantial men of the community and was a prosperous farmer. He was married in 1865 to Miss Margaret Ann Hampton and 9 children were born to them. Six are deceased and 3 daughters survive. The children living: Mrs. James Caldwell, Mrs. Elwood Booher and Mrs. Ted Caldwell. A sister, Mrs. Peter Endicott of near here and a brother, WA Booher of Frankfort are living. Mr. Booher was an officer in St. James Lutheran Church which is located across from his late home. He was a man of deep religious conviction. Because of his scrupulous honesty and upright character he was looked upon with great respect by the entire community. He was a liberal supporter of the church in which he held membership. -- kbz
