Thomas Booe, 71 a well known farmer who spent his entire life in Fountain County died at his home near Hillsboro 6:30 pm. Sunday Aug 25. He was born on a farm near Steam Corner Aug 1, 1875 the son of Thomas J and Mary Reed Booe, one of a family of six children. On Feb 9, 1902 he was married to Myrtle Hesler of HIllsboro and all their married life was spent in the vicinity where he died. He was a member of the New Liberty Christian Church. Survivors include thewidow and one brother James Booe of Hillsboro and several nieces and nephews. A son, Harold, died at the age of six months. Funeral service was held at the New Liberty Church at 2:30 Tuesday afternoon with the pastor of Rev. RG Ellsworth in charge and burial in Rose Hill Cemetery, Hillsboro. - kbz

Mr. Booe was born on a farm near Steam Corner on August 1, 1875, the son of Thomas J. and Mary Reed Bone, one of a family of six children. On February 9, 1902 he was married to Myrtle Hesler of Hillsboro and all their married life was spent in the vicinity where he died. He was a member of the New Liberty Christian Church.
