Booe - Charles - Montgomery InGenWeb Project

Veedersburg -Charles Booe, 46-year-old resident of this community died at 10 a.m. Saturday at his home. He had been in failing health 8 months. Born March 14, 1919 at Veedersburg he was the son of Balser and Effie Alston Booe. He was married Nov 20, 1937 to Mildred Krout. Mr. Booe was employed by Mid-States Steel & Wire Company at Crawfordsville for 16 years before his health began failing. He was a veteran of WWII. Survivors include the widow, the father, who resides here, two sons, Thomas of Montezuma and Rickey at home; two daughters, Mrs. Norma McClelland of Covington and Sandra Spear of Newtown; 4 brothers, Orville of Hillsboro, Russell of Attica, Gene of Peoria, Ill and Lawrence of Veedersburg; 3 sisters, Mrs. Hazel Hay of Danville, Mrs. Dorothy Rasmussen of Williams Bay Wisc and Mrs. Betty Reynolds of Attica and 5 grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.. Monday at Sever Mortuary here with Rev. Glenn Ray pastor of the Baptist Church at Covington officiating. Interment will be in Masonic Cem at Waynetown Friends may pay their respects at the Mortuary. - kbz
