Arnett E, son of Manley and Jane Booe, was born July 15, 1879 and died Jan 11, 1918 aged 38 years 5 months 26 days. He was born in Fountain County and lived there on a farm until 17 years ago when he came with his parents to Crawfordsville where he has since resided. For the last 7 years he has been employed by the casket company. He belonged to the Eagles Lodge and Carpenter's union. He never married but leaves a father, mother, one sister, Mrs. George Maxwell of this city and a host of relatives and friends to mourn his loss.
The funeral was conducted at the home, 912 W. Market at 2 p.m. Sunday by Rev. RE Moss and Randall Lookabill. Mrs. Gauld and Mrs. Hessler sang, Some Time We Will Understand, Some Sweet Day and God Be with You TIll We meet Again. The pall bearers were Sherman Moore, Henry Banks, Walker Utter, Willis Sharp, Everett Hodgkins, and Bert Lewis, fellow employees. Interment was made in Masonic Cemetery. --- transcribed by kbz
