Mrs. Louatte Elizabeth BOND, 84, died Sunday Jan 13, 1963 at her home in Crawfordsville. She had been in failing health several months. Mrs. Bond who had been in the Kingman, Bloomingdale and Veedersburg communities had been a resident of Crawfordsville since 1925. She was born July 20, 1879, Howard County, a daughter of James A. and Lena Hirshbrunner Woods. When she was three her parents moved to Nebraska traveling by train. At 16 she returned by covered wagon. She married John J. Bond Feb 25, 1901 in Parke County. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Athel W. Jackson and Mrs. Lelah Adams; 3 brothers, Fred J. Woods; Charles W. Woods; Arthur J. Woods; 3 sisters: Mamie Ocheltree; Mrs. Ethel Bell; Mrs. Elsie Burks; 3 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Funeral services were held Tuesday at Bright's Funeral Home; Rev. AL Vermillion in charge; interment in Masonic Cemetery.- transcribed by kbz
