WAYNETOWN -- Forrest Bolen, 79, of Rt. 1, Waynetown, died suddenly at 3 p.m. Thursday in the home of his son at El Paso, Tex. Mr. Bolen had suffered from heart trouble and emphysema. He was a retired farmer and a member of the Wesley United Methodist Church. Born in Illinois on Aug. 19, 1897, he was a son of George and Mary Harris Bolen. He was married to Grace Wilkinson on Dec. 12, 1917. She preceded him in death in October 1969. Surviving are a son, Max of E1 Paso; two foster sons, Harold Eugene Land of Crawfordsville and Willard "Bill" Allen of Waynetown; a foster daughter, Mrs. Mildred Cheatham of Florida; a brother, Leland of Waynetown; a sister, Mrs. Carrie Merrill of Crawfordsville; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister, Mrs. Gertrude Hays of Crawfordsville. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Thomas Funeral Home at Waynetown with the Rev. Joe Miller officiating. Burial will be in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 3 p.m. Tuesday.--waw
