Mrs. William Boggess died at the home on West Howard Street Friday night, Aug 7 at 10:35. Funeral services were held at the ME Church on Sunday morning by Rev. Carl Vanwinkle, pastor of the Christian Church at Brownsvalley. Interment at Union. Death was caused by consumption. Bertha May, daughter of Tobe and Susan Marshall was born March 23, 1881. She joined the ME Church in 1899. She married William Boggess sept 16, 1900. To them were born two children, Sherman age 4 and Wilford Newton aged one. She bore her sickness without a murmur until the very last, and was good and kind to everyone. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her. She leaves a husband, two children, father, mother, six brothers, three sisters and a host of friends and relatives to mourn her loss. The relatives desire to thank the friends and neighbors for their kindness during her sickness and death. - kbz

Bertha May, of Waveland, daughter of Tobe and Susie Marshall was born March 23, 1881, and died Friday AUg 7, 1908 aged 27 years 5 months 6 days. Mrs. Will Bogess died at her home in Waveland Friday night at the age of 25 years, death being due to tuberculosis. - kbz
