Miss Lillian Blair died last night at the home of her brother and sister-in-law, Rev. Dr. and Mrs. John Allen Blair, at the Falling Spring Presbyterian manse, 267 Philadelphia avenue, where she had made her home for the past four years.
Miss Blair was in her 76th year. She was born in Crawfordsville, Ind., where she became a teacher in the public schools. She taught in the grade schools and high school of that place for more than forty years. Because of her unusual ability, a position of dean of girls was created for her and at special request of the school authorities of Crawfordsville, she continued her work after arriving at retirement age.
During Dr. Blair's former pastor at the Failing Spring Church, Miss Blair taught for one year at Penn Hall, then directed by Dr. Ihlsing. At that time she was on sabbatical leave from her work in Crawfordsville and was taking work at Wilson College. Soon after coming here to reside she united with the Falling Spring Presbyterian Church.
A brief funeral service will be held in the Falling Spring Chapel at 2 o'clock on Wednesday afternoon; burial will be made at Crawfordsville on Thursday afternoon. – thanks to Kim H
