Kingman IN - Mary J. Blacketer, 84 of Crawfordsville, formerly of Kingman died at 11:35 p.m. EST Wednesday March 3, 1999 at Culver Hospital in Crawfordsville. At the time of her death, she was a resident of Carmen Care Nursing Home, Crawfordsville. She was born in Parke County, Indiana November 29, 1914 to Walter and Dora Woodrow Hatch. She was married in Rockville, on November 10, 1932 to Pearl E. Blacketer. He died in 1981. She is survived by: two daughters, Barbara Joan Blacketer of Crawfordsville and Phyllis J. Weed of Veedersburg; a son, Donald L. of Kingman; four sisters, Dorothy McKain of Anderson; Della Wilson of Perrysville; Evelyn Gibbons of Crawfordsville and Bernice Mitton of Veedersburg; one grandchild and 3 step grandchildren and 3 step great granchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother. Mrs. Blacketer was a homemaker and a member of the Cates Commmunity church and the Kingman Senior Citizens Club. Services: are at 2 p.m. Monday March 8 at Dickerson Funeral Home, Veedersburg. Officiating: Rev. Edwin Retter. Burial: will be in Kingman Fraternal Cemetery. Visitation 4-8 p.m. Sunday March 7 at the funeral home. - kbz
