Mrs. Effie Bever of Hillsboro received word of the death of the father-in-law of her daughter, Mrs. Daisy Birch, Trenton, NJ. He was Mr. Hayes Birch who died at his home in Crawfordsville on Monday night after a lingering illness. Mrs. Birch had been in Crawfordsville for several weeks assisting the wife in the care of Mr. Birch while her husband, Dwight Birch was employed in Milwaukee. Survivors include the widow, son and grandchildren. Funeral service was held at Hunt Funeral Home in Crawfordsville Thursday afternoon. – kbz
