The sad message came to relatives here that Vivian, the two-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James F. Bible had died at 9 o’clock Wednesday evening of last week. The child was taken ill early that morning with acute indigestion and though everything was done to allay her suffering she soon passed away. The funeral was held from the home at 2 o’clock Friday afternoon, conducted by Rev. J. W. Hanger, pastor of the Dayton M. E. church. The interment was made in the Dayton cemetery. Vivian Ruth Elizabeth, the youngest daughter of James F. and Gretchen K. Bible, was born July 1,1912. Departed this life September 9, 1914 at 9 o’clock p. m. She leaves to mourn the termination of her short sojourn in this life, a father, mother, sister and grandparents, and all those with whom her short life came in contact. By her sunny disposition she won the hearts of all who knew her and by her perfect health and laughing ways, to have met her was to have had life brightened. On Tuesday evening last she was taken ill and although every available means were used, the bud that had giveth so much promise of a perfect blossom, was withered ere the petals were opened to the fulfilment of her expectations. The Master has said, “Of such is the Kingdom of Heaven,” and there we know that the flower will reach the perfection that was denied it here.
