Norman Blue, 76, a retired farmer and former resident of Montgomery County, died Tuesday night in his home, 929 Wacker Dr., Danville, Ill. He had been in failing health one year and seriously ill three weeks. Born April 2, 1880, near Covington, Mr. Blue was the son of Ezekiel and Anna Cronk Blue. He married Jessie Griffith Aug. 25, 1925, at Williamsport. He was a member of the Salem Methodist Church near Covington. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Rebecca Bryant of Danville, Ill.; a brother, J. C. Blue of Elwood; two sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Fisher of Elwood and Mrs. Wallace Epperson of Hillsboro, and two grandchildren. The wife, a brother and four half-brothers preceded him in death. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the Proffitt & Brown Funeral Home. Rev. Eddie Bamish of New Ross will be the officiating minister. Burial will be in the Greenlawn Cemetery at Darlington. Friends may call at the funeral home. Funeral services for Norman Blue, who died Tuesday at his home in Danville, Ill., were conducted at the Proffitt and Brown Funeral Home Friday at 2 p. m. with Rev. Eddie Bamish officiating. Burial was in Greenlawn Cemetery at Darlington. Pallbearers, who also assisted with flowers, were Robert Lang, Fred Carroll, Elsworth Glaze, Ralph Taylor, Carl Epperson and Harry Epperson. Organist was Mrs. Nellie Shepherd.
