Sarah Nancy BLOOMFIELD, the oldest of 5 children born to Robert W. and Amanda Spencer Bloomfield, was born Sept 8, 1853 near Guion, and departed this life at the home in Waveland Jan 10 at the age of 79 years 4 months and 2 days. She united with the Christian Church in December, 1868 under its pastorate of CA Bartholomew when the place of worship was a one-room structure on W. Main and it can be truthfully said that she was faithful to the end. She leaves two sisters to mourn their loss; Mrs. Charles Deere and Miss Mollie Bloomfield. One brother, John died in Colorado in 1892, and a sister, Viola Lough died in 1922. She also leaves 3 nieces, four nephews, several cousins and a hose of neighbors and friends whom she had a strong desire to help at all times. She lived her entire life in and near Waveland. Nannie was a quiet woman of high ideals, recognized the things that count for most, and followed those convictions. The sympathy extended to those who mourn cannot atone for the loss, but they can feel without hesitation that the life this loved one lived most mean that glorious welcome. Well done, thou good and faithful servant, enter thou into the joys of thy lord! - kbz
