Waynetown - Miss Minnie E. Blackford, 89, died at 2:25 a.m. Sunday in Culver Hospital at Crawfordsville. She had been a patient there since Sept. 25 when she fractured her hip here at the home of a sister, Mrs. Della Myer. She was born June 16, 1871, on a farm near Rossville, Ill., a daughter of Wesley and Margaret Crawford Blackford. Miss Blackford was a member of the Prairie Chapel Church near Rossville. She lived all her life near Rossville until she moved to her sister's home here four years ago. Her only survivors are her sister, two nieces and three nephews. The body was brought to Servies Funeral home here where services will be conducted Monday at 4 p.m. (CST) with Rev. Lewis Poore in charge. Friends may pay their respects at the funeral home from 2 to 4 p.m. Monday. After services here Monday, the body will be taken to Young Funeral Home at Rossville, Ill., where friends may call after 7 p.m. Funeral rites will be conducted there at 2 p.m. (EST) Tuesday.
