Pearl E. Blacketer of Kingman age 72 died Monday evening Sept 21 in St. Elizabeth Hospital at Danville, Ill. He was born in Parke County March 8, 1909 the son of David and Minnie Barcus Blacketer.. Nov 20, 1933 he married Mary Hatch, who survives. He attended Cates Community Church and was a section crewman on the Nickel Plate and Norfolk & Western RR for 32 years before retiring in 1974. Also surviving are two daughters, Miss Joan Blacketer of Kingman and Mrs. Phyllis Weed of RR 2, Veedersburg; a son, Donald of Kingman; a sister, Mrs. Dorothy Massey of Veedersburg a brother David of Mullan, Idaho; a half bro, Dewey Burns of Oxford, Ala; two half sisters, Pany Fulton of Gary and Jean Brazelton of Ponoma, Mo; and one grandson. Funeral services. were held this afternoon Thursday at Bodine & Shelby Fun Home in Covington with Rev. Dennis Keefer officiating . Burial in Kingman Fraternal Cemetery. - kbz
