Mrs. Dorothy D. Birch, 54, 700 E. Market St., died at Culver Hospital at 10:40 a.m. Saturday. She had been a patient there since March 25. She was born in the Garfield neighborhood March 19, 1905, a daughter of Jesse A. and Mabel Cox Hole. She married Glen M. Birch Aug. 24, 1929, and they lived in Crawfordsville since that time. Mrs. Birch attended Darlington High School. She was employed prior to her marriage at R. R. Donnelley & Sons and at the former Graham Department Store here. Her husband is a Donnelley bindery department employee. She was a member of the First Methodist Church, WSCS and Order of Eastern Star, No. 97, in the latter organization of which she held several chapter offices. Surviving beside the husband are a daughter, Beverly Ann Birch of Omaha, Neb.; a brother, Bernard A. Hole of Darlington; three nephews, Gerald J. Robert Allen and Garry Steven Hole of Darlington; an aunt, Mrs. Lena Rouse of Crawfordsville; an uncle, Bert Hole of New Market, and several cousins. Her parents are deceased. Funeral services are set for 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Bright Funeral Home here with Dr. Ralph W. Graham, pastor of the First Methodist Church, officiating and interment in Greenlawn Cemetery at Darlington. Friends may call at the funeral home. - kim h
