Harry Binford, 88, died Sunday night in his home, 804 Milligan St., after a long illness. He was born Oct. 27, 1881, near Garfield to David and Georgetta Payne Binford. He married Grace Shewmaker on Oct. 30, 1910 in Terre Haute. He attended Montgomery County schools. Mr. Binford was employed in the general store at Garfield for 30 years before retiring 25 years ago. He was a member of Garfield Christian Church. Surviving is a daughter, Miss Vera Binford, who lived with her father. He was preceded in death by his wife, a brother, Owen, and a sister, Mrs. Grace Hole. Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday by Rev. David Stackhouse at Bright & Burkhart Funeral Home. Burial will be in Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call after 2 p.m. Tuesday.
