Waynetown June 18 - John F. Biddle, one of Waynetown's most highly respected business men, died Friday night at 9:30 o'clock at his home following a serious illness of two weeks. Death was attributed to heart trouble. Mr. Biddle had been in failing health for the past two years retiring from active life when his health began to fail. For many years he was prominently identified with the hardware firm of Darnell & Biddle and prior to that he was engaged in farming. Mr. Biddle was the son of Lawson and Calista Wood BIddle and was born Dec 8, 1870. He was married to Maggie E. Gray Nov 17, 1891. Mr. Biddle was a member of Liberty Christian Church and held membership in the Knights of Pythias and Odd Fellow Lodges. Those surviving are the widow, one son, Jesse; two daughters, Mrs. Ruth Applegate and Miss May Biddle, his mother, of Wenatchee, Washington; one brother, Samuel Biddle, two sisters, Mrs. Charle Swank and Mrs. HM Vaughn and two grandchildren. - typed by kbz - thanks Proctors :)
