James L. Biddle, 67, former Waynetown man, died Monday afternoon at the Veteran's Hospital in Indianapolis where he had been a patient for the past two weeks. He had been a patient for the past two weeks. He had been ill for 2 years and seriously ill since January of this year. Biddle made his home in the Palmer Apartments in Crawfordsville. Born May 24, 1900 near Waynetown, he was the son of Philip A. and Elva Sanders Biddle. He was reared in the Waynetown area. He was a member of the Waynetown Baptist Church. He was also a member of the American Legion & Veterans of Foreign Wars. Biddle served in the US Army during WWI from March 28, 1917 to Sept of 1919. He is survived by a sister, Mrs. Eula Duke of Waynetown, a half brother, Robert S. Pruitt of Crawfordsville; six nieces, 3 nephews. Funeral services will be at 20:30 a.m. Thursday at Servies Funeral Home in Waynetown. Rev. Myron Hinton, pastor of the Waynetown Baptist Church will officiate. Burial in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. WAYNETOWN-The funeral services for James L. Biddle were conducted Thursday at Servies Funeral Home here. Rev. Myron Hinton officiated and organ music was played by Mrs. Nellie Snyder. Pallbearers were Jim Biddle, Philip Biddle, Donald Duke, Lee Vern Ellis, Vernie Harlan and Robert Frame. Burial was at the Waynetown Masonic Cemetery where graveside rites were conducted by the Waynetown American Legion Post. Color bearers were Manson Simmons and Harold Bratton. The color guard were Robert Calder and Robert Rogers. Those in the firing squad were Commander Homer Faucett, Donald Grenard, Robert Rosen and Earnest Ellis. - typed by Chris M
