Hillsboro -- James Emery Bible, 72, resident until four months ago of the Wingate-New Richmond neighborhood, died at 2:30 p. m. Thursday at the home of a son, Walter H. Bible of Lafayette. He was born May 16, 1885, to John C. and Sarah Hamilton Bible. He was married to Alice Marie Coon, who died Aug. 14, 1954. Surviving are two sons, Walter H. and Russell B., both of Lafayette. Friends may call at the Crumley Funeral Home here beginning Friday evening. Funeral services will be held at the mortuary at 2 p. m. Sunday with Rev. G. T. Johnson the minister, and interment will be in the Wingate Cemetery.
HILLSBORO — Funeral services for James Emery Bible, 72, who died at the home of his son, Walter H. Bible of Lafayette were held at the Crumley Funeral Home at 2 p. m. Sunday. Rev. G. T. Johnson, pastor of the Hillsboro Methodist Church, officiated. Organ music was by Mrs. Clair Crumley. John Mitchell and Clarence Rhodes sang, accompanied by Mrs. Fullwider. Serving as pallbearers were former neighbors and friends of the Wingate community. Burial was in the Wingate Cemetery.
