Hillsboro—Homer H. Bever, 73, a resident of Fountain and Vigo counties most of his life, died at 3:55 a.m. Sunday in his home south of here. He had been ill for six years and seriously ill for two weeks. Born Dec. 22, 1888, in Fountain County, his parents were Perry and Ida Livengood Bever. In January of 1905 he married Mary Louisa Cunningham and in 1935 he married Margaret Hiatt in Mulberry. He was a member of the Freedom Baptist Church and the World War I Veterans in Covington. He received his early education in Wallace and was a farmer, trucker, auto salesman and an International Harvester Co. employee during his lifetime. He is survived by his wife; a son, Bronsen of Hillsboro; a daughter, Mrs. Zola Benefield of Rt. 1, Veedersburg; a step-daughter, Mrs. Paul Vickery of Crawfordsville; a brother, John F. Bever of Hunter, Mo.; five grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Zora, and a brother, Harley. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. in the Servies Funeral Home in Waynetown with Rev. Alfred Dobbs of Veedersburg officiating. Burial will be in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery.
