Such was the name that was given to the unnamed little waif that came into the kindly care of our Orphan's Home last September. Its unnatural mother conceived it in sin and when it was 4 weeks old placed it in the care of Mrs. McDaniel at the home. This morning we buried the poor little thing out of the life into which it so unwelcomely came. Neither its father nor its mother were there but the tears of the kindly matron of the Orphan's Home bespoke the tenderness of the care that had been bestowed upon the little unfortunate. What a tribute to the excellence of that spirit that builds such homes and teaches and tenders the human heart into such loving care as was manifest in the way in which this unfortunate baby was watched and waited on. How cheerfully, willingly and adqueately should we support such institutions. "Who so shall receive one such little child in my name receiveth me," be upon the kindly heart who received and cared for this poor, unfortunate babe. "Ecallaw Praht" [sic - Wallace Tharp]
